Little Village of Goodness

The Little Village of Goodness has become a beloved tradition! It provides a wonderful opportunity for a few women to offer their healing services and for participants to receive one on one treatments .

If you’d like to join us as one of the ‘Villager Healers’ this year, please read the following information carefully, fill out the short form and return no later than April 30 2019.

**Arrangement with Village Healers**

You get to set your own schedule and can do as many sessions as you chose, and also leave as much time to enjoy the rest of the conference as you wish. (You can look at the schedule posted on the website to determine when you wish to be available to offer your services)

Each village healer is fully and completely responsible for the treatments they offer including collection of any fees, and agreements between the person receiving the session and themselves.

NE WHC Registration Discount for Village Healers: A discounted tuition of $195 is offered to ‘village healers’. This includes tuition, camping, and all workshops except intensives. Intensives, meals, and indoor lodging are an additional fee. To register as a Village Healer at this discounted fee, please register below.

We will provide a space for you to bring a pop up tent. The Village of Goodness will be in the vicinity of the large classroom tents, so will be easy to find. You will have to provide and set up your own ‘pop up’ tent, or similar type/size tent (tent size no larger than 10 X 10 max)

You will be fully responsible for scheduling your appointments and for collecting any fees (the WHC isn’t responsible in any way for either scheduling appointments or collecting fees). There will be a board in the Cafeteria where you can post your Sign up Sheet during Registration. We suggest coming early and posting your sign up sheet early or emailing it to helen@newomensherbal.com by August 15th. You may choose to move your sign up sheet to your tent after registration at the conference.

Please note, while you will be allowed to sell limited personal healing items at ‘The Village’, it is not the Emporium. Please keep items to a limited number (at discretion of the NE WHC organizers). We don’t want The Village to become another venue for selling products. If you have a lot of products you wish to sell, please inquire about vending at the NEWHC Emporium by contacting us at newhcvendors2019@gmail.com.

Because the NE WHC is a benefit conference for UpS, we suggest that each village healer to gift a small percentage of their total intake to United Plant Savers. Suggested donation 10-15% or whatever feels good to you, and is absolutely optional.

Lodging

Camping is FREE and included in the cost of Registration.  If camping, you must bring your own camping gear including a waterproof tent, ground cloth, sleeping bags, pads, flashlight etc. Be sure that your tent is waterproof!   Portapotties are provided for campers (sorry no indoor toilet facilities) and limited indoor shower facilities.  Please note; camping is fun, but rustic. You must be prepared to bring what you need to be comfortable for the weekend.  Personal campfires and campstoves are not permitted. There is no additional charge for camping.

Off Site Lodging is another option. If you opt for more comfort and privacy, you might prefer to stay in one of the lovely B & B™s and hotels in the area.  The WHC is held in the beautiful Lakes Region of NH, and there are lots of lodging options in the area. We recommend Coppertoppe Inn. For additional lodging options click here.  

Indoor Lodging The bunkhouses at Wicosuta are clean and comfortable. Each bunkhouse has electricity, showers and bathrooms.  You can request to be with friends but must do so early (not when you arrive). The cost is for the whole weekend, not per night.  Includes Thursday night if you have pre-registered and paid for Early Check In. Bedding is not provided.  You must provide your own bedding (sleeping bag, blankets/sheets/pillow) and towels.

Meals

Meal Plans & Food Vendors Once again we are offering our Participants a choice of purchasing a Meal Package or purchasing individual meals from Food Vendors.  Both options offered a good variety of choices and wholesome delicious meals that satisfy most of our participant’s needs and wide range of food needs. We think it’s the best plan ever and are excited to see it working, thanks to your help. Learn more about food options here.

Conference Meal Plan: Friday Dinner to Sunday Lunch

Participants can choose to buy a delicious meal package that includes 6 meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner and Sunday breakfast & lunch). Meals will be plentiful, wholesome and delicious and based on a flexitarian menu. Options will include a variety of protein (fish, chicken and vegetarian), locally sourced vegetables, and whole grains. See sample menus on the website. Meal packages are $85 and must be purchased in advance. For Children 12 and under the meal package is $40

For those women who do not purchase a Meal Plan, there will be wonderful food offerings from food vendors! *Food Vendor Meals begin Friday Lunch, and the Conference Meal Plan begins Friday Dinner

Early Arrival

Thursday Evening Arrival This year, participants are able to arrive Thursday from 4-6:30 pm. This will enable woman to attend the Pre-Conference intensives and also help women who are driving long distances. Registration is open ONLY between 4-6:30; please do not arrive earlier or later.   The cost is $35 for Thursday night and includes camping or cabin (if you’ve pre- registered for indoor lodging). Food vendors will be at the camp and set up for Friday breakfast and lunch, but not Thursday dinner.  New this year: Pre-Conference Meals - Thursday dinner to Friday Lunch!

Intensives

INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS

Intensive workshops offer participants the opportunity to delve deeper into subjects of particular interest and to work more closely with individual teachers.  Intensives are 3 ½ to 4 hours in length and are an additional $35 each.  Space is limited and intensives fill up quickly, but they are optional.

Community

Gail Ulrich Memorial Scholarship

There are limited number of partial scholarships available to help those in financial need who would like to attend the NE Women’s Herbal Conference. Scholarships offset registration costs by $100 for Adult Registration, $50 for Elders, Teens and Children, and are used to help offset the tuition costs. In order to create as many scholarships and other discounted registration positions as possible, we ask that individuals applying for scholarships don’t apply for work-study positions. If you have an absolute need for both, then call and let us know and we’ll consider your situation. We want everyone who wishes to attend, to be able to come to these wonderful herbal events, as well as making sure that the event's expenses are covered. Thank you for your understanding!

Information about scholarships specifically for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and Queer, Trans & Two Spirit people will be coming soon. If you would like to us to let you know when the information is available, please fill out the current Scholarship form.

WHC CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:

ALL REFUND REQUESTS MUST BE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE AT THE DESIGNATED TIME NOTES BELOW; PLEASE EMAIL US AT laura@newomensherbal.com. AND/OR WRITE TO WHC/REFUND, P.O. BOX 101, Plainfield, VT 05667.

August 1: All fees except for an $85 deposit per registrant are fully refundable until August 1.  (Fees includes tuition, intensives, meal & lodging fees) Partial refunds are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.
After August 1 there are no refunds available. Registrations can be transferred to a woman of your choice at anytime, or donated to our scholarship fund.
The NEWHC expects to hold the conference, rain or shine. In the unlikely event that we were forced to cancel, we would refund as much of the registration fees as possible, which could mean we would be unable to offer any refunds. We ask that you note this Cancellation & Refund Policy, as there will be no exceptions.
